JL Coquet
Now approaching its 200th anniversary, JL Coquet was founded in 1824, 25Km from Limoges. JL Coquet is known for the purity and delicacy of its porcelain and the quality of its established expertise. The lucent whiteness of the material, the intensity of the golds, the distinction of the colours and the elegance of the engravings are the sign of distinction of its collections. JL Coquet is labelled as a French Living Heritage Company and IGP and has become the symbol of French Art de Vivre and ‘Made in France’ skill, whose grace can be found on the most exquisite tables.
The porcelain of JL Coquet is the result of a transformation between water, earth and the experience of men. The porcelain is distinguished by its whiteness, which has been the representation for many years. It is known as one of the whitest, most translucent and delicate in the world. Creating a piece can require up to twenty manipulations, during which sophisticated techniques and skills are closely linked. Thanks to an exclusive engraving method, the gold, platinum and other precious metal inlays highlight the decorations of the products while ensuring their irreversibility. The technique gives the colours and patterns a unique relief to channel each of their pieces.
Thanks to a unique handmade satin finishing technique, a mineral juice is applied to certain parts of the piece to protect the matte finish, while the enamel is added to the untouched parts. The combination of matte and glossy effects offers unique artistic distinctions while protecting the products' abrasive and marking materials.
