M C Hersey & Son Ltd
M C Hersey & Son was established in London by Michael Hersey in 1971, after serving for 16 years as a silver spinner, initially starting work as an apprentice at William Comyn's workshop in 1955. Michael's son Stewart joined him in 1981 after completing his training as a Silversmith at The Sir John Cass School of Art, now better known as the London Guildhall University, and at Grant Macdonald's Workshop, Southwark.
Hersey are passionate about maintaining the craftsmanship of Silversmithing and they use many old techniques, dating back centuries, alongside the latest technology, to create high quality and well designed pieces that can be enjoyed for generations.
Stewart Hersey is a Liveryman of The Goldsmiths Company and a Freeman of London. MC Hersey & Son are members of the National Association of Jewellers.
