From Florence, Italy, has been making Pepper Mills, Salt Mills and Herbs-Spices Grinders since 1952

Focused on the ancient, modern styles and new techniques, Chiarugi create products from high quality materials including beech wood

Chiarugi originated in Florence, Italy, and has been making Salt & Pepper Mills and Herb Grinders since 1952.

While drawing their inspiration from Tuscan and Florentine Renaissance culture, they also look towards modern styles and manufacture their products using the best European beech, cherry, African walnut, oak, rosewood and olive, with a waxed or shiny surface to protect against wear. Other materials used are acrylic, crystal and silver-plate.

In 1952 Mario Chiarugi set up his business, looking to base his products on the artistic heritage of the workshops of the Florentine master Craftsmen.

The success of the Chiarugi pepper mill, made on the premises, is based on an original mechanism, which cuts the peppercorns rather than crushes them. The pepper mills also use a self-centering mechanism, which avoids blockages.
