Miyabi

Miyabi applies the Japanese theory of Kaizen, constant improvement towards perfection each and every day. It infuses every part of knifemaking so that a Miyabi knife is more than just a tool.

Miyabi employees work according to the Japanese shokunin principle, which means constantly refining and striving for perfection in craftsmanship. It is a philosophy that reflects the smallest of details with care. They live this principle through the Honbazuke honing process in knifemaking, a legacy combining centuries of knowledge and technical expertise.

Since the 14th century, Seki has been the heart of high-end Japanese knife manufacturing. All Miyabi knives continue to be manufactured there. The scenic town in Gifu Prefecture is the origin of knife legends and a symbol of master craftsmanship. The search for perfection is deeply rooted there and shapes the past and present. Miyabi take it one step further by combining Japanese tradition with German advances.
