Francis Gelb was born into a family of goldsmiths. He met Pascale and together they set about reinventing cutlery. They wanted to give the objects new life and together they started Sabre Paris.

In 1993, Francis Gelb was tasked with designing a knife. He took up the challenge of producing an item with a square ferrule and a complicated design. The ?Sabre? collection marked the start of a successful collaboration.

Their priority is quality, from materials to polishing. The blades are manufactured in France from a stainless steel and carbon alloy, which creates the perfect cutting edge. The acrylic handles are created by hand giving them a softness that is aesthetically pleasing. Almost all the cutlery is assembled by hand in their Paris workshop, and they complete an average of 12,000 pieces of cutlery every day.

Sabre has transformed cutlery and created cheerful, elegant items that dress up the every day table for over 30 years.
