Ribeiro learned the manufacturing techniques in his father’s workshop and in 1950 he created his first company, which was to become Cutipol. Together with his children he travelled the world to source machines, processes and customers; Alice Marques, his wife and co-founder, was responsible for production and development. The 4,000sqm factory began renovations in the early 1980s and since then his children have joined the team, bringing processes up-to-date and focusing on design. Traditional craftsmanship plays a major role, while also keeping up with innovation.
