Zwilling J.A. Henckels

Zwilling is a family business, founded by Peter Henckels in 1731 and their products are crafted in factories in Solingen, Germany's city of Blades. Their factories have been able to blend traditional craftsmanship with inventive production technologies and they also obtain their electricity from 100% renewable sources.

They are one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of kitchen knives for domestic and professional use. They have grown bigger over the years and now have several brands that are members of the Zwilling Group, Zwilling, Staub, Miyabi, Demeyere, Ballarini and Henckels with a wide range of products.

It started off as a cutlery forge and now they are a worldwide company with a variety of products such as:

Staub is made in Northern France and is craved worldwide from international restaurants and millions of individual households. They produce authentic cast iron and ceramic cookware products with craftsmanship and machinery, one cocotte takes a week to produce and it is handled by over 20 people from start to finish. In the early 1970s, Francis Staub set out to produce high-quality kitchenware for chefs and they have always been developed together with experienced chefs for professionals and beginners alike.

Miyabi products are exquisitely crafted in Sekin in Japan which has been the capital of blade-smithing since the 14th century, they have intertwined Japanese artistry and German precision to produce their knives. It takes more than 100 steps and 42 days to make one knife that is worthy of the Miyabi brands. All knives are fabricated by skilled artisans with traditional craftsmanship and modern machinery which is the recipe for knife perfection. The craftsman are constantly refining and striving for perfection.
Ballarini was founded as a family-owned company in 1889 and its cookware kitchen utensils are made in the small town of Rivarolo Montovano in Italy where every item is infused with the Italian heritage and the factory houses production processes from A to Z, they ensure that all customers get exceptional reliability. They have over 300 workers and many have worked there for over 30 years.

Demeyere has been made in Belgium since 1908 just outside of Brussels, the loyal and skilled employees pour their passion into producing cookware in a state-of-the-art factory and continually come up with new ideas to ensure the performance, longevity and design of each product, making chefs coming back for more. They produce stainless steel cookware which has the highest user-friendly, energy efficiency and performance standards. Their products are recommended by chefs worldwide, they can be used by professional chefs and by ambitious amateur cooks in the kitchen. They are also pioneers of induction cookware, developing a unique material for induction stovetops in the late 1970s.
