Venini

Venini continuously update the form and styles of its original artistic pieces, with iconic projects and new designs. It presents its work across two collections: Art Glass, which offers a range of exceptional sculptural vases and decorative pieces that can be used for interior decoration; Art Light includes table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers and major lighting installations suited for large public and private spaces such as grand halls and upscale interiors. Venini has created lighting features for the Mandarin Hotel in Singapore, Wall Street Brand in New York and the Swiss Credit Bank.

Venini's spectacular pieces are achieved by combining Murano’s unique traditional techniques, global artistic innovation and a unique range of colour palettes. At the Kiln every detail is precisely managed. Each of the 125 colours has its own recipe and can shift into various shades, the creative process can be reflected by the names of the colours such as Straw Yellow, Grass Green, Horizon, Grape; these distinctive colours of Venini are inspired by Venice and nature.

The company was founded in 1921 by Paolo Venini, a Milanese lawyer and Giacomo Cappellin A Venetian antiques dealer, Venini has become a leader in artistic glass-making known for its unique style that continues today. Over the years Venini has worked with famous artists like Napoleone Matinuzzi, Carol Scarpa, Vittorio Secchin, Gio Ponti Fulvio Bianconi, Mimmo Rotella and more recently designers such as Peter Marino, Tadao Ando, Ettore Sottsass that have created pieces for the brand.
