St Louis
In 1781, the craftsman at St.Louis had a significant break by mastering the techniques of making true crystal which involved adding lead oxide to the glass mixture.
In 1829 the company had renamed to “Cristalleri Royale de Saint-Louis”, this change marked its transition from producing simple glass to focusing exclusively on fine crystal production and introduced the idea of a complete glassware set for the dining table with the Trianon service.
St. Louis has been part of the Hermes group since 1995 producing crystal pieces that maintain a reputation for luxury and craftsmanship that aligns with Hermes values. It is known for its collaborations with designers seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, and it remains a symbol of French luxury and elegance.

St. Louis is a highly regarded French crystal manufacturer, established in 1586 with the original name of “Munzthal Glassworks” which makes it one of Europe’s oldest glassmakers. It’s located in France's Lorraine region in the village of Munzthal.
The company is known for its beautiful handcrafted crystal pieces, including vases, lighting, chandeliers, stemware and decorative items. Each piece is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans which can take weeks to complete, using traditional methods passed down through generations. The process of creating the pieces includes blowing, cutting, engraving, polishing and decorating using 24-carat gold or platinum which is all done by hand to ensure each item meets the highest standards.
